Help with steering, falls, jumps and more. Still stuck? We are one email away.

Steering

The ball rolls by itself. You only steer left and right, in one of two ways:

  • Touch: hold the left or right side of the screen. A short tap is a small correction; holding turns harder.
  • Tilt: rotate your phone left or right to steer.

To switch, tap the round TOUCH/TILT button at the bottom of the home screen, or open Settings and pick Touch or Tilt phone under Steering. You can switch any time.

Tip: small, early corrections work better than big, late ones, especially on snow.

Falling and landing

Rolling off the road is not always the end. When the ball leaves the road, the screen starts to darken. If the ball lands on a lower part of the road before it goes dark, the run goes on.

The road zigzags, spirals and passes under itself, so a daring jump off the edge can even land a shortcut further down.

Checkpoints

In Levels mode, every level has two checkpoints and a finish line. If you fall and do not land in time, you can retry from the last checkpoint you passed.

Infinity mode is an endless run for a best score, in Classic or Snow.

Jumps and twists

Jump levels have gaps and barriers to hop over:

  • With Touch steering, swipe up to jump.
  • With Tilt steering, tap the screen to jump.

Other levels bring Snow (the ball slides), Drops (fly off an edge onto a lower platform), Wind (pushes you sideways), Fog (the road appears late), Narrow (a thin road) and Fast (more speed). Later levels combine two twists. A short intro card explains each level's twist before it starts.

Gems and balls

Gems sit along the road. Roll over them to collect them, then spend them on new balls: tap the BALLS button at the bottom of the home screen. There are 12 balls to unlock: Classic, Beach, Tennis, Melon, Polka, Hoops, Checker, Eight, Marble, Neon, Planet and Gold. Tap a ball you own to use it.

Saved progress

Your levels, best scores, gems, balls and settings are saved on your device only. Veerball has no accounts and no online saves, so:

  • Uninstalling the game, or clearing its storage in Android settings, deletes your progress.
  • Progress is not synced between devices.

Look, sound and vibration

Open Settings from the home screen to change:

  • Look: Auto, Light or Dark.
  • Sound, Music and Vibration: turn each one on or off.

The road and sky change color as you roll, through nine color themes. Veerball plays in portrait and landscape: just turn your phone or tablet.

Devices

Veerball runs on recent Android phones and tablets. It plays fully offline, so it does not need Wi-Fi or mobile data. If the game feels slow, try closing other apps first.
